WHO WE ARE



We are four women from the middle east, who are activists for social change.
We are establishing a creative radio project focused and ran by women, starting at the Jordan Valley. 

Dina Awwad-Srour

Lecturer, writer, and a facilitator in the field of women empowerment, her motherhood, her sexuality, and her entity. She has experience in facilitating women circles and workshops in civil and social organizations. Additionally, she has a huge experience in the field of writing and public relations.

Dina has a Masters degree in International Relations from Corvinus University/Hungary and a Bachelor degree in English Literature from Bethlehem University/Palestine. In the last years, she attended workshops and special trainings in the field of women health, her relation to her body, and her role in life.


Meira Asher

Graduate of the California Institute of the Arts (BFA, percussion) and the Royal Conservatory in
The Hague (MA, Sonology), the research areas of composer-performer Meira Asher include Social Documentary and the Amplification of the Human Body.

When living in The Netherlands she was co-founder of the bodylab art foundation in The Hague (2001-2011). Currently she is a lecturer at Haifa University’s Art School, curator-presenter of the independent radio art program radioart106 (on KolHaCampus106fm 2014-2017, WGXC 2018 -,  Radia.fm affiliate), and founder of this project.

Her recent works include 'from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea-a Soundscape of an Occupation' commissioned by Kunstradio (Vienna) and a vinyl production of Antonin Artaud’s radio play
“To Have Done with the Judgement of God” (1947) in Hebrew.

Samia Nasser

Social activist and a certified group facilitator working in community projects focusing on women and young people. She holds a BA in literature and history from the Haifa University. She worked for eighteen years as the office director of WAC-MAAN, the workers union in Israel. She worked in the USAID project “Life - Without Violence and Conflict” which included six Arab and Jewish high schools in the north of Israel.For the last 7 years, she has been working at the Ein Dor museum as a facilitator of a binational students program.


Reut Gat

Social and environmental activist. For the last two years, she has been working with children in the kindergartens using arts and ecology to develop a respectful dialogue between the heart and the surroundings. She studied theatre, art , ceramics, cosmic studies, jewelry, and graphic design. For the last two years, she has been accompanying the Palestinian shepherds in the Jordan Valley to support them utilize the basic needs to take care of their shepherds on a weekly basis; as they are being subjected to the attacks of the Israeli army and settlers in the area.
